Carmen Jurado, Licensed Andalusia tour guide
Carmen JuradoLicensed Andalusia tour guide — Maro, Nerja, Spain

I’m Carmen Jurado, an independent guide to the Cueva de Nerja — I compare the tickets and tours so you can book the right one at the right price.

My background

I’m a licensed Andalusia tour guide who grew up in Maro, the village directly above the Cueva de Nerja. I’ve walked visitors through the cave’s galleries for over a decade. I know the geology, the local history, and more importantly, the queues, the timed slots, and the honest decision between paying €18 at the gate, €16 online with an audio guide, or €57–€69 for a full day trip that stacks Frigiliana on top.

Why I started this site

Two numbers nobody puts side by side: the €18 entrance fee at the ticket office, and the €16 pre-booked GetYourGuide ticket that includes the audio guide and locks your time slot. Then there’s the free Monday–Friday 9:15 slot that almost no tourist knows exists. Most guides (me included) see visitors arrive unprepared for these options. So I wrote this site to lay them all out — gate price, online price, free slot, day-trip bundles — in one place.

How this site works

I research the tickets and day tours available on GetYourGuide, read through traveller reviews, and write honest, practical guidance on which option suits which traveller. I’m an independent guide, not a tour operator and not part of the Fundación Cueva de Nerja (the official cave administration). When you’re ready to book, I send you to GetYourGuide, a licensed reseller.

How I’m funded

I earn a small affiliate commission when you book through my links, at no extra cost to you. That’s what keeps the site free and lets me keep it up to date with real prices and schedules. It never changes which tickets or tours I recommend — see my affiliate disclosure for the full picture.
